The Adi Kailash Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage to Lord Shiva’s temple in Uttarakhand, India’s Kumaon area. This 6-7-day spiritual journey takes you through breathtaking landscapes, verdant valleys, and tranquil rivers, with highlights including the natural ‘Om’ symbol on Om Parvat, Parvati Sarovar, and Gauri Kund. The yatra begins in Kathgodam and continues through gorgeous locales such as Pithoragarh, Dharchula, Gunji, and Jolingkong. The best months to visit are May through June and September through October, when temperatures range from 15°C to 24°C during the day and 3°C to -5°C at night. The hike is deemed simple to moderate, making it suitable for families and beginners, however permits are required, which may be obtained from Dharchula. Typical expenses include transportation, meals, lodging, and permits for inner lines.
On arrival Dharchula. Then we will get our paper work for Inner Line Permit and medical done (subjected to administrative guidelines at that time). This is required as we will be travelling along Nepal border. Then check in at your pre -booked stay. Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel / Guesthouse – Dharchula. (Hotel on Twin / Triple sharing basis)
After having breakfast we will move to Gunji. En-route we will visit natural beautiful villages like Chialekh, Garbyang, Gunji on the way to Gunji. Dinner and Overnight stay at Guest House/ Maintained Homestay Gunji / Napalchu.
Leave early morning from Gunji to Mount Adi Kailash. You will get to see the divine pilgrimage site Adi Kailash. On the way you can see Kunti Parvat, Pandav Fort and Brahma Parvat, Pandava Parvat and Parvati Mukut. At Adi Kailash Temple you can perform religious activities like offer prayers to Lord Shiva & Goddess Parvati and take a dip in Parvati Sarovar. Dinner and overnight stay at Guest House/ Maintained Homestay at Gunji / Napalchu.
After breakfast leave for Om Parvat. Where Snow lies on the mountain in the shape of ॐ. We will go for darshan and meditation at Om Parvat. On the way you can see Nag Parvat and leave for Kalapani, where Group Havan Puja will take place, spot Vyas Gufa just opposite Kali Mandir. Dinner and Overnight stay at Guest House at Nabi / Gunji / Budhi Village, cultural performance by locals.
After breakfast leave for Dharchula. After reaching Dharchula you're free for your onwards journey.
